I had terrible experience with ASUS TUF A15 gaming laptop, so far DISPLAY, WIFI and motherboard has been replaced. i have not been able to use it properly as it had problems and had to be reset or sent to service center for repair and asus is denying replacement as they have 7 days replacement policy which customer is not informed at the time of purchase or its mentioned on invoice etc… Over 40 tickets raised with ASUS customer support multiple parts replaced but no replacement. Asus is happy to keep your laptop and repair it unless you are out of warranty irrespective of whether you are able to use it or not. So it this value for money. Did i pay for this laptop so i can work on it or purchased for repairs etc..

Beware: this notebook has compulsory Modern Standby / Connected standby which means it takes a considerable amount of power even in "Sleep" mode. S3 Sleep of ACPI is just not implemented at all by ASUS at the firmware level. I would say this is its biggest problem/flaw which UltrabookReview failed to mention

      It`s true !
If you use this notebook in your work – i don`t recomend !
You cannot go to sleep and save your work when you travel between locations.

hi, quick question, is the SSD still run as hot as the 2020 model since its next to the heatpipe ? i have bought the 2020 model and opted for 48w battery just so i can change the ssd location to the other side and use the extra HDD cage as extra storage

Still runs fairly hot, yet. See the SSD tests' pic

The ASUS TUF Gaming A15 FA506QR-HN006T is sold basically everywhere in Germany with a 144Hz Screen. So did you get a better unit for review purposes or have they actually labeled it wrong everywhere it's sold?

I just got a different configuration. I'd contact Asus about it and ask if they'll bring the 240Hz screen to your country

        Hello,

did you receive any information regarding the IPS panel in Germany? Does it really only run 144Hz?

On the official german ASUS website, it is advertised with a 240Hz screen, and on the website of one of the biggest tech retailers (Saturn) in Germany the Hz is not mentioned in the product information.

        Maybe you got more Info.

        Thanks in advance.

        Greetings

the panel options vary between regions and even stores, so I can't tell what you'll be getting in DE. We're also working on reviewing the 144 Hz A15 model, if interested, with the 60% sRGB panel

I just contacted Asus Support,… if anybody else need this info:

"After an internal check of your request, I will inform you that USB-C is receiving the signal from the GPU, Nvidia graphics card. The HDMI interface, however, from the IGPU."
    ."

    Hey,
Can you tell me if the usb c port with dp is wired to the gpu or will it just use CPU Graphics.. i'm thinking to Connect an Index which is not compatible to HDMI and will Need some more power than cpu can deliver.

I no longer have this around to have a look, but the USB-C is DP and should go through the dGPU

Hello, I bought this laptop a few weeks ago(144hz version) and experienced what I think is coil whine during games. And I wanted to ask if you experienced the same thing while testing?
