Great review, thanks a lot !
Stupid question here; I was looking at this precise model, cause i'll soon need a laptop both for gaming and working in open space.
It's a long time dream to get myself a beefy laptop so I could go up to 2500€ budget.
    Only (huge) constraints are:
    – Should be silent when doing work (web, excel, dozen of RDP sessions. Mostly Memory consumption)
    – Should be with a discrete design (working at customer sites, I don't want to have too "gamer-ish" look). I've heard I already have a nerdy face, that'll be enough.
    – Should have decent battery life.

Which model(s) would you recommend the most ?
I still hesitate toward the Gigabyte Aero…
Since Gigabyte is around since some time now, do you know if these laptops are strong built for long term ?

They should be pretty beefy, but there are some issues you might want to be aware of. This thread gathers all of them, don't be scared, it's a long list, but every laptop has its quirks and some of them have been addressed over the year

Other options would be the MSI GS65 and the Razer Blade 15, each with their pros and cons. I've reviewed both here on the site, and if you're not into gaming, I'd say the best value would be in the RTX 2060 configurations.

Thanks for review and photos. This is the worst cooling solution on RTX laptops I have seen so far – only 2 exhaust vents partially covered by hinges, no exhaust vents on sides. No surprises that it runs hot and will get more hot when the dust will start to clog those tiny heatsinks. I would definitively avoid this and go with Lenovo or Sager/Clevo models instead.
