Finally a review web page that talks about the throttling issue!!!! You are the only ones!
This is really positive for all the costumers who bought it, to make the problem more visible, and hopefully get an official solution from Lenovo.
And it's also a very good review!!

    I currently have a fully spec'd 720 15, If they give me the option to repair my 720 15 (16GB Memory, 512GB SSD,i7 770HQ, GTX 1050 2GB, 4k), or get a 730 15 (16GB Memory, 1TB SSD,i7, GTX 1050 4GB, 4k) which is better i because the battery is smaller but its a newer processor…

From your research and experience what would you recommend?

The Core U offers slightly better battery life with daily use, but the difference is rather small.

Thank you for addressing the issue with the throttling so well. My experience has been significantly affected with very surprising low performances with heavy loads.

I would just like to point out that, regarding the forum post, your readers might get the impression that Lenovo's technicians said that they are looking into fixing it through a BIOS update. The unfortunate reality is that the post was done by a customer and Lenovo hasn't really confirmed or denied that info. I sure hope the customer is right but Lenovo's silence might be a sign that they won't address it since the 2/3 week time-frame is well past its due. Perhaps you could replace "as according to the forums," with "as according to a customer's post in the forums,".

Otherwise, very good review, it very accurately describes experience so far. I wish all reviews were this well done and I wish this one had existed before I purchased this laptop!

Great review thanks for the underclocking guide. I have the lenovo 730 yoga 15 inch 4k screen and my battery barely lasts two hours even when I take measures to preserve the battery. My laptop makes that same knocking noise. I sent it back to lenovo and they "fixed it but now I hear it again. I am considering taking off the cooler to see if I can fix it my self.

We didn't have wifi issues with our unit. What's the problem with yours?

Use the default drivers from window, or try updating to the lastest.
