Nice review, liked the emphasis and detail into noise.
Just one off comment, unless your friend has to use CPU render in Blender because he maxes the RTX 4070 paltry VRAM using Blender do not require CPU performance since render is done by GPU, plus 29000 points in Cinebench R23 CPU isa very good reference and very respectable. And this gives the biggest criticism to this laptop which is not related at all to Acer, but to Nvidia decision to put only 8GB VRAM in 4070.

true, you're most likely using GPU rendering in Blender anyway.

The Cinebench r23 score is high because the CPU runs at high power for a few minutes, before the 115W cap kicks in. that's why the score drops by about 15% in the 10-min loop

Ok, thanks for pointing the 10 min loop.

I have this unit, and well for the most part it's ok, but they need to do something with the charging part, they keep saying the plug should click twice and lock in, but from day one I have never been able to get it to click or stay in, it takes less then 1/64th of a inch and the plug looses contact with the pin inside, at first they sent me a brick to fix the problem, but it had the same issue, so it had to be sent in, returned with same issue, and well yeah customer support is not vary good either, trying to blame me, well as I speak it's going back for the 3rd time, supposedly to the top shelf techs this time, I would not recommend this unit to anyone.

I have this laptop and use it for video editing. The big problem is that the CPU runs only at 150 watt for only 30 seconds and then goes to 115 watt when sustained multicore work. Other problem, the SSD is very bad cooled and can easily reach 85° Celcius during sustained write. Excuse my bad English.
