Razer Blade 16, Legion 9i or this one.. which one did you like the most? :)

pff, they're not really comparable imo.

If you're after the performance, than the Zepyrus is not the ideal option. although you haven't really mentioned which config are you interested in. ON the other hand, the Zephyrus is smaller and lighter and more affordable than the other two. Plus is gets an OLED, which might make a difference for you over the miniLED on the Legion.

As a whole, I feel that the Zephryus is competitive for the 4070 config if you can get it with 32 GB oF RAM and don't need an HX processor. At the 4080/4090 levels, the legion would be my go to with their aggressive pricing, as the Blade is just so expensive. However, I'd make sure the size of the Legion is appropriate for my needs, since that chassis is fairly large and heavy. Hope this helps somewhat

        Thank you, really helpful!

I'm in the situation where I can get all three in their 4090 configurations for the same price, only difference with the Legion 9i having 64GB instead of 32GB Ram.

The G16 has semi glossy by the way, it's less reflective than Blade 16 for that reason.

Interesting. In that case. I'd consider how much the portability factor matters for you. Also, OLED vs mini LED is perhaps a choice, but both panels are beautiful.

My Asus M16 13900H 4080 with 32gb gets about the same Timespy and other benchmarks scores shockingly. I do use GHelper to tune the GPU and CPU but I’m amazed this generation hasn’t moved much up. This new body style is of course nicer looking though and OLED is nice to have although arguably the Mini-LED screen might last longer.

that M16 is a higher TGP.

Ah that makes sense. The 2023 M16 is about the same weight and only marginally bigger but does seem to allow bursts of 145w

It's not the same weight, the M16 is heavier, albeit by around 150-200 grams or so. It's also a little thicker and more importantly, implements a different cooling module that allows for higher power settings on both the CPU and the GPU. Thus, performance wise, this g16 gen is a step backwards compared to the previous Zephyrus models

The performance of the new Intel line is extremely shameful compared to even the Raptor Lake cores, where Intel cheated with consumption in order to catch up with its outdated “10nm++++++++” 2 times more energy efficient AMD processors with their “4/5nm” from TSMC.

And now this consumption cheating that Intel imposed has backfired on it.

But it never managed to catch up even with last year’s Zen4.

And judging by the performance of other Asus models, the top Ultra 9 185H drops to a shameful level below the AMD R5 5600U from 3 years ago, with a consumption of 30-35W.

It will be funny to watch the cognitive dissonance among the most technically advanced part of consumers, all the reviewers and analysts who understand how Intel flogged itself. =)

This may very well be the best performance thin and light notebook this generation.

It's thin and light for its performance level, so there's bound to be compromises in the performance category.

This is one of the few laptops to be almost as good as the speakers on the Macbook Pro 16, which is currently the top laptop speaker.

Great review, thank you very much ! I wonder if its possible to upgrade 4060 with vapor chamber by any chance ? Shouldn't be prohibitively expensive .. Is the components layout same on the mb ? And since its a bit thicker 4080 back cover should be used to make it happen.

it's not, but why would you do that anyway?

    Macbook pro m3 max 128gb or g16 4090?

depends on your software needs tbh. Both are good laptops, but with the software and OS environment is what makes the difference between them

Would be great to see DPC Latency results for this one. Seems like the results were copied from 4070 review. Or viseversa. It's a different CPU thus it can perform differently…

Ups. You're right, I've updated that gallery with the right info for this configuration. Thanks for noticing!

Many thanks for such a quick update! I am so glad that core i9 can handle DPC Latencies!

    Hi,

first of all, thanks for your reviews I really appreciate them!

Since you also reviewed the M16 2023 with a RTX4090.
I never saw them next to each other, can you tell me please how significant the difference in portability and size are?
Also is it possible to say which model has the better cooling, the bigger chassis of the M16 oder the vampour chamber of the G16? I mean, is it possible to play games like Total war warhammer 3 in silent mode with both Laptops or which one would you recommend in regards for silent- or performance-gaming?
And one last question I wonder if the M16 is suitable as Laptop which I can use for both gaming and for work, or if its too heavy or thick or loud to carry it around with me.

Sorry for the long post and many questions. Thanks for your good work!
