Asus TUF Gaming FX705 GM Asus The 17-inch Asus TUF FX705 series is one of the better value devices in its class. It\'s compact and well built, offers an RGB keyboard and optional 144 Hz IPS screen, performs fairly well, runs cool and lasts for a fair while on a charge. It does have its quirks though, and the most important ones concern the fact the the CPU/GPU reach high temperatures with gaming and don\'t perform at 100% of their abilities, at least on our pre-release test unit. Thx for review. What a shame Asus, they make good solid laptop and ruin it cuz of heat issue. Maybe it's a point to buy same laptop but with i5 8300 and 1050TI on board. This should be more cooler and cheaper.

We don't know the price yet. I'd expect it to be competitive.

Actually it seems to be a nice desktop PC replacement. If you need 17" and adequate color gamut for multimedia use and proper CPU power (occasionally) you don't really have much of a choice. I'm eagerly waiting for the Legion Y730 17" and the GL704 review, albeit the latter one will be more expensive. Tell me if I have other choices. :) Gaming is not for me.

Not if you want small bezels. Otherwise, there're also the Predator 300 and a few MSI products.
